We believe that you cannot take a one-dimensional approach to natural healing. It’s a process that requires effort on your part, a tailored diet to your requirements and high-quality supplements, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
Our 4-step process
- Diagnosis using the SCIO machine.
- Diet / Detox with supplements.
- Further treatment – this may be naturopathic supplements and/or homeopathic remedies and/or sessions using the SCIO machine.
- Repeat Diet/ Detox. We MOT our car, now we have the means to MOT our health. For £90 take a SCIO session once a year and follow the detox recommended
Stage 3 - Further treatments in more detail
Here we explain a little bit about “Stage 3 – further treatment” for the more common imbalances and what that further treatment might be, the time frame involved and the factors which determine that time frame.
Allergies
The most common allergies are to gluten, dairy and pollen (hay fever).
Gluten and dairy intolerance can be resolved by the intestine and liver detox which takes about 3 months.
Hay fever requires you to take homeopathic remedies and/or vitamins 2 months prior to when your hay fever starts and to continue this treatment during the period of hay fever.
Skin disorders
Skin disorders are mainly due to imbalances in the liver.
The most common skin disorders we treat are eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis (see auto immune).
How long the imbalance takes to resolve depends on how long you have suffered from this skin disorder, what pharmaceuticals products you have used and how long have you used those pharmaceuticals products for. Throughout the process you will feel your condition improving but to become balanced again may take from 3 to 9 months.
Auto-immune disorders
The most common auto-immune disorders we treat are rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimotos disease and psoriasis.
Autoimmune disorders are due to a compromised immune system and an immune system detox is a good place to start. Although we call it a detox it is designed to strengthen your immune system.
Psoriasis are areas of red, pink, or purple, dry, itchy, and scaly skin. Although it is a skin disorder it is due to problems with your auto-immune system and therefore may take longer than 9 months to balance.
Rheumatoid arthritis a chronic autoimmune disease-causing inflammation of the joints, especially of the hands and feet, resulting in swelling, stiffness, and structural and functional alteration of the affected joints, and potentially affecting other organs and systems of the body.
Hashimoto’s disease is an autoimmune disease in which the thyroid gland is gradually destroyed. It is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks healthy or normal cells. In people with Hashimoto's, the immune system attacks the thyroid.
Generally, auto-immune disorders are more chronic than inflammation disorders and as a result can take between 1 and 2 years. Improvements can start to be experienced after 6 months.
Metabolic disorders
The most common metabolic diseases we treat are diabetes, cholesterol issues and obesity.
Diabetes mellitus, often known simply as diabetes, is a group of common endocrine diseases characterised by sustained high blood sugar levels. Diabetes is due to either the pancreas not producing enough insulin, or the cells of the body becoming unresponsive to the hormone's effects. Classic symptoms include thirst, polyuria, weight loss, and blurred vision.
As you can imagine diet will play a big part in helping to improve these conditions and so how closely you follow any diet will determine the time to see your condition get better, for obesity obviously how much you are over your normal weight given your height and build will also determine the time frame.
Hormonal imbalances
The most common hormonal imbalances are:
Hypothyroidism is a disorder of the endocrine system in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. It can cause several symptoms, such as poor ability to tolerate cold, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, constipation, slow heart rate, depression, and weight gain.
Hyperthyroidism is the condition that occurs due to excessive production of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland. Signs and symptoms vary between people and may include irritability, muscle weakness, sleeping problems, a fast heartbeat, heat intolerance, diarrhoea, enlargement of the thyroid, hand tremor, and weight loss.
PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) the syndrome is named after cysts which form on the ovaries of some women with this condition, though this is not a universal symptom, and not the underlying cause of the disorder.
Endometriosis is a disease in which cells like those in the endometrium, the layer of tissue that normally covers the inside of the uterus, grow outside the uterus. Lesions can be found on ovaries, fallopian tubes, tissue around the uterus and ovaries, intestines, bladder, and diaphragm; and may also occur in other parts of the body. Symptoms include pelvic pain, heavy and painful periods, pain with bowel movements, painful urination, pain during sexual intercourse and infertility
Generally, these hormonal imbalances can take 3 to 6 months to balance but it depends on how strictly the diet is followed and what previous medication was taken.
A more serious condition is Hashimotos, and this generally takes 1 to 2 years to rebalance. However as with all our treatments improvements will be felt along the way (see auto-immune disorders).
Degenerative disorders
The most common are Parkinson’s and dementia.
Parkinson's disease, or simply Parkinson's, is a neurodegenerative disease of mainly the central nervous system that affects both the motor and non-motor systems of the body. Usual symptoms include tremors, slowness of movement, rigidity, and difficulty with balance, collectively known as parkinsonism.
Dementia is a syndrome associated with many neurodegenerative diseases, characterised by a general decline in cognitive abilities that affects a person's ability to perform everyday activities. This typically involves problems with memory, thinking, behaviour and motor control.
Recovery from degenerative disorders is difficult and the road to recovery is long but improvements can be seen after 6 months and generally any treatment would be 1 to 2 years and can be ongoing for the rest of the persons life. It depends again on how long the individual has been suffering and what medication has been taken. Please note that if pharmaceuticals products are taken then there is a long and careful substitution process.
Mental Health issues
The most common mental health disorders we treat are depression, anxiety and ADHD.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by executive dysfunction occasioning symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity and emotional dysregulation that are excessive and pervasive, impairing in multiple contexts, and can hinder the individual’s development.
Often with anxiety and depression, recovery will depend on how long the individual has been suffering from symptoms, and how long any pharmaceutical products have been taken. Generally, improvements can be seen within 6 months and treatments will last between one and one and a half years.
Inflammation disorders
It is important to understand that low grade inflammation is an indication of toxicity in the body and is best treated by our recommended tailored diet and detoxes. When inflammation becomes chronic it can cause auto-immune disorders.
Lyme disease is probably the most common inflammatory disease we treat along with arthritis.
Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is a tick-borne disease caused by species of Borrelia bacteria, transmitted by blood-feeding ticks in the genus Ixodes. The most common sign of infection is an expanding red rash, which appears at the site of the tick bite about a week afterwards. The rash is typically neither itchy nor painful. Approximately 70–80% of infected people develop a rash. Early diagnosis can be difficult. Other early symptoms may include fever, headaches and tiredness. If untreated, symptoms may include loss of the ability to move one or both sides of the face, joint pains, severe headaches with neck stiffness or heart palpitations.
Arthritis is a common condition that causes joint inflammation and pain.
